Motorola mobile handsets sales slipped 41 percent year on year in 2009 as compared to 2008. While it collected 7.1 billion dollars from handset sales in 2009, it totaled to only 3.7 percent of the total handset market. The manufacturer had shipped 12 million handsets to more than 20 countries.
